Air ventilating is the process of changing or replacing air in any space to control temperature as well as removing moisture, odors, smoke, dust and airborne bacteria, from indoor air.

Ventilation is one of the three functions of HVAC, the other two being heating and air conditioning.

Ventilation includes both the exchange of air to the outside, as well as circulation of clean air within the building.
